Richard Carl Arndt, 75, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Richard was born on November 2, 1938 in Torrington, WY to parents Carl Arndt and Marie (Wunder) Arndt. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Lingle, WY. Upon graduation from high school, Richard married Rose Maxine Ross on June 1, 1957 in Torrington, WY. Together they raised three children; Michael, Robin, and Brian.

As a young man he worked in construction for Lane Contracting as a foreman and then as a superintendent. He worked on major projects at the University of Wyoming, University of Colorado, Kearney State in Nebraska, and the Fine Arts Building at Eastern Wyoming College. He later returned to farming and agriculture pursuits throughout most of his life. In his retirement years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains.

Richard is survived by his children, Michael Arndt of Lingle, WY, Robin (Everett) Miller of Parkman, WY, and Brian Arndt of Sheridan, WY; two grandchildren, Tyler Miller and Paige Miller of Parkman, WY; two brothers Arnold (Delores) Arndt, of Denver, CO, and Arthur (Florence) Arndt of Littleton, CO; brother- in-law Richard Saul of Aurora, CO and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and Marie Arndt; one sister Arlene; and his wife Rose Arndt.
