COLUMBIA - Memorial Services for Bernard "B.J." Kleinrock, 78, (USAF Retired) will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with full military honors. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mr. Kleinrock was born May 19, 1935 in Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Mary Coughlin Kleinrock. B.J. served in the United States Air Force for twenty five years. The first six years he was an enlisted man and then went on to OCS. He retired in 1980 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a Vietnam Veteran where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for thirty one years.
Mr. Kleinrock is survived by his wife, Barbara Kleinrock; sons, Jeffrey Kleinrock and B.J. "Buddy" Kleinrock; daughter, Jennifer Kleinrock and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Alice Levey, Edith Iscovitz and Lewis Kleinrock and son, Darrell Kleinrock.
