92, of Cynthiana, Ky., died Friday, March 14, 2014, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born in Harrison County, KY., November 8, 1921, to the late Ashford Thomas and Gertrude Wagoner Hicks. He was a member of Elmarch United Methodist Church, a retired foreman for A. O. Smith in Mt. Sterling and an honorably discharged Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ellen Thompson Hicks. Survivors include his children, Barbara Ann Watkins, Billy (Diane) Hicks, Judy (Bobby) Adams and Karen (Mitchell) Hamilton. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Graveside services will be conducted 1 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, KY., by Reverend Tim Lorenz, under the direction of Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
