Pauline Barbara Beitzel, age 78, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on March 15, 2014, after a two-year battle with Amyloidosis.
Pauline was born on April 22, 1935 in Manitowoc, daughter of late William and Sybil (Smith) Gallenberger. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1953, and was a lifelong resident of this city.
Pauline was a vivacious person with a zest for life. She enjoyed traveling, nurturing her beautiful gardens, and making all celebrations and holidays extra special. She was always generous and eager to gather with family and friends. Her outgoing personality and sweet disposition were infectious; with Pauline, strangers quickly became friends.
Pauline loved her family very dearly. She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses: Tony (Lynn), Cindee (Steve), Cherie (Steve), Steve, Susan (Evan) and Jenny (David); by her 8 grandchildren: Tara, Tony II, Desiree, Dylan, Kristian, Kendra, Josie, and David; by three great-grandchildren; and by many beloved family members and friends.
Per Pauline's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place and Pauline's cremated remains will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
