Caldwell - Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, for Sarah S. Hurst, 87, of Belle Valley, who died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2002) at Hospice of Genesis in Zanesville.
The Revs. Loran Dace and Robert Law will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was bornn July 24, 1915, near Ava, daugher of the late Charles Homer and Inez (Stevens) Rayner.
Mrs. Hurst was a homemaker and along with her late husband, Albert, she operated a family farm for many years.
She was a member of the Belle Valley United Methodist Church and Belle Valley Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Etta Rayner; her husband, Albert Urbane Hurst, on Dec. 7, 1994; an infant son; an infant daughter; a granddaughter, Marsha Hurst; a great-grandson, Brandon Sholtis; and two brothers, Martin Luther "Boots" and Hansome Rayner.
She leaves a daughter, two sons, two brothers, a sister; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
