Georgia Ann Gibson, 66, of 215 E. Harrison Ave., Wabash, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born March 23, 1939, in Madison, the daughter of William Arthur and Mary Della Gibson. She had worked for the former Cosby Motor Service in Madison; for Grote Manufacturing, now Grote Industries; and as a child care provider. In Wabash, she provided child care in her home and was employed at Kroger Egg and Ford Meter Box, from which she retired after 17 years of service. She was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Brian Gibson of Wabash; four sisters, Geraldine Lacey and Wilma Banks, both of Indianapolis, Mary Lou Gibson-Cosby of Wabash and Priscilla Scott of Madison; two brothers, James W. Gibson of Madison and Floyd Lee Gibson of Denver, Colo.; three grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William A. Gibson Jr. and Harold Henry Gibson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Broadway Baptist Church, with burial in Springdale Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
