Ruby Lois Covington, 88, of Carrollton, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1916, in Shelby County, Ky., the daughter of Gustis and Bessie Allen Gordon. She was a retired employee of the Kawneer Co., and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Pauline Kindoll of Carrollton, Ky., and Nancy Lawson of Hanover; three sons, Robert W. Covington of Shelbyville, Ky., William Cecil Covington of Lexington, Ky., and Larry Dale Covington of Hanover; one brother, Elliot Gordon of Shelbyville, Ky.; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert B. Covington, in October 1995; three sisters, Lena Bryant, Ethel Meyers and Jessie Butts; and four brothers, Estel, Emmett, Everett and Howard Gordon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky., with burial in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Northern Kentucky. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
