After they divorced Joseph's name was changed to Joe B. Wohlfeil when he was adopted by his step-father, Edward Wohlfeil. Sutton Houston remarried in May 20, 1938 to E. Marie King Tassey and in 1940 they lived in Nashville, Tn. They were the parents of son, William Houston Tassey, they divorced 8-09-1951, Marie was killed in an automobile crash on 9-10-51. Sutton Houston had 2 sisters: Jennie Mai Tassey Ferrell, and Grace C. Tassey Summers, and 4 half-sisters: Lena Tassey Lamasters of Nashville, Susie Annah Tassey Anderson of Corsicana, Tx., Laura P. Tassey Hearn of Nashville, Tn., and Addie Lea Tassey Reynolds of Nashville, Tn. Sutton Houston passed away Oct. 09, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan. Funeral Services were held at Hackett Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Waddell officiating and interment was in Woodmere Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his Father Sutton Polk Tassey,wife E. Marie Tassey, Half-sisters Lena Lamasters, Susie Annah Anderson and Addie Reynolds. Grandparents Alexander and Mary Sutton Tassey and Thomas and Martha Jetton Ledbetter. He is survived by his mother, Susan Tassey, his two sons: Joe B.
Wohlfeil and William H. Tassey and a half-sister Laura Tassey Hearn of Nashville Tn. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
