Kimberly Dawn Goff-McCoy, 39, of Cross Lanes passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at home from a sudden illness. Kim was a lifelong resident of Cross Lanes, a 1989 graduate of Nitro High School, received an associate's degree in Applied Science from WV State, and was a graduate of Garnett Education Center with an LPN degree. She was a former paramedic for Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, former employee of CAMC General Division, former employee of Huntington Banks, and employed by Capitol Medical. Kim was very active in the Nitro High School Cheerleader Booster Club. She was totally devoted to her children and family.

Kim was preceded in death by her father Otis Goff, grandparents Henry and Freda Westfall and Hilda Sturm, and step-grandfather William Williams. Left behind to cherish her memory are the love of her life and father of their youngest child, Brian McCoy, her children Stefani Marie Taylor, Chesnei Olivia Briann McCoy, and step-son Austin McCoy, her parents Patsy Williams and Jack "Pappy" Williams, her sisters Debra Clark and Dedra Jennings, her step-sister Bronwyn Mitchell, and her special sister Kim Loudin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Shannon Richards, Tara Jennings, Erik Jennings, Lee Clark, Braque Reyes, Evan Mitchell and Chase Mitchell.

A celebration of Kim's life was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Chaplain Dave Casto and Chaplain Scott Nasby officiating. Burial followed in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the KCEAA for all their love and support during this special time.
