Andrew E. Hawken, 84, Tuscumbia, died Nov. 3, 1999, at his home.


He was born Nov. 14, 1914, in Miller County, a son of Louis and Rose McGowan Hawken. He was married April 7, 1951, in Lake Ozark, to Alice M. Keeth, who survives at home.


He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked 16 years at Anchor Mill in Tuscumbia and Eldon, and at Tuscumbia R-3 school.


Other survivors include: one son, Louie Dale Hawken, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; one daughter, Cheryl Gladback, Eldon; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Louis Hawken, one daughter, Anita Lynn Hawken, and one grandson.


Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery.
