John was the son of David Keller and Hannah Bossert (aka Bussard). He married Elizabeth Biser (d/o Johannes Biser and Mary Schlosser) on 26 Mar 1835 at Christ Reformed Church, Middletown, Maryland. John and Elizabeth had 2 Children:

Lucinda Catharine Keller 28 Jun 1839 / 25 Aug 1853
John died soon after Lucinda was born. Elizabeth never
remarried.
