SAVANNAH, Ga. - Karen Lynn Sisk, 51, died May 15, 2003 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Mrs. Sisk was a graduate of Butler High School of Augusta and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Sociology from Augusta State University. Following graduation she became a Child Welfare Case Manager with Chatham County Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS). She began a social work career May 1979, in Chatham County, transferred to Richmond County DFACS in February 1986 and returned to Chatham County DFACS in January, 1989. Her 24 years of service were dedicated to the protection of abused and neglected children. She offered aid to hundreds of families and touched the lives of thousands of children. Among countless charity participation and contributions, she was also devoted to caring and finding homes for animals. Mrs. Sisk was preceded in death by her father, Clyde R. Sisk, Sr., and brother, Clyde R. Sisk, Jr., both of Augusta. Survivors are daughter, Lauren Sisk Cade and son-in-law, Jason of Rincon, and mother, Mamie S. Sisk of Louisville. Memorial services will be on Monday, May 19, 2003, at 3 p.m., at Elliott Sons chapel. Visitation will be from 1 p.m., until the time of service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta with the Rev. William M. 'Scotty' Brock, Rector of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church of Savannah officiating. Memorial services in Savannah will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at 3 p.m., at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 3101 Waters Ave. with the Rev. William M. 'Scotty' Brock officiating. Remembrances may be made to Humane Society of Savannah, 7215 Sallie Modd Drive, Savannah, GA 31406; Augusta Humane Society, P.O.
