Colonel John X. Loughran III was born on June 29, 1933. He died on March 28, 2011 of cancer. He was a Colonel in the United States Air Force, a Captain for United Airlines and earned a doctorate in Physiology. He was also a member of the Knights of Malta. He was known for his faith, kindness, generosity and love for his family. He was survived by his wife of 41 years, one son and three daughters. He was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Albrook. He was also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held at the St. Anslem Catholic Church on Shady Lane in Ross.
