Wanda McCall McDaniels
WHITE HALL - Wanda McCall McDaniels, 88, formerly of Springfield and Chatham, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her family by her side. She was born December 2, 1925, in Springfield to William and Olive Gray Masters.
Wanda married Charles McCall in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1977; she then married Arthur McDaniels in 1999, and he preceded her in death in 2010. An infant sister, Marcella Masters, died in 1929 and a son-in-law, Jay Brown, died in 2001.
Mrs. McDaniels worked at Charles Thomas Publishers, but retired in 1989 from UCB after many years of service.
Wanda met Art at the Chatham Senior Center, as they both volunteered for the Daily Bread deliveries and other activities. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Chatham Senior Center, 111 West Mulberry, Chatham, IL 62629.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham, before services.
Her family will greet friends from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. at Staab Polk Memorial Home. Please visit www.staabpolk.com to offer your condolences.
