Darrell E. Armstrong
Mr. Darrell E. Armstrong, age 78 of Mountain Home, AR passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born January 2, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to Floyd James Armstrong and Ruth Ethel Johnson Armstrong. He married Susan Stockdale in Brinkley, Arkansas in 1972.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He possessed a beautiful voice, loved to sing and shared this gift with many. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He and his wife enjoyed travelling and golfing together and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Armstrong of Mountain Home; 2 sons: James Dixon Armstrong and his fiancée Carolina Moyano of Dallas, Texas, and Dana Jay Armstrong and his wife Dana of Grove City, Ohio; a daughter, Terri Goodrich of Little Rock, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren; a sister Phyllis White of Hilliard, Ohio; 2 brothers: Paul Armstrong and David Armstrong, both of Grove City Ohio and sister-in-law, Mary Kay Bradley of Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Phillip Armstrong.
A memorial service, conducted by Reverend Jim McDonald will be held 2 PM Tuesday, March 18 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the church columbarium. A memorial service will also be held in Grove City, Ohio at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, 22 March at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
