Mary Belle Abbott, 93, Independence, died Feb. 25, 1991, in the Ramona Villa Nursing Center, 8575 Cosada Drive. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Fairmount Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Harry L. Abbott Sr. of the home; a son, Harry L. Abbott Jr., Lee's Summit; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Farmer, Fort Worth, Texas; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Washington Cemetery.
