A native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gordon B. Hopkins and Roy O. Adams.

Survivors include her children, Dephene Gravitt, Marjorie Kennemore and Charles Adams, all of Cumming; brothers, R.A. "Pete" Barron and Garland Barron, both of Cumming; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
