Virginia Flanary, 89, died March 13, 2013, in Serenity House in Phoenix. She was born September 9, 1922, in Pinckneyville, Illinois, to Martha (Keihn) & Oscar Bardle. She came to Ajo in 1966 and and called Ajo her home the rest of her life. A housewife, she sold Avon products for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Flanary and by her daughter Laloni Taylor. Mrs. Flanary is survived by her daughter Cynthia Scott; by her sister Darlene Jones; and by her six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, in Douglass Funeral Home. It will be followed at 11:30 a.m. by a funeral service led by Pastor Jeannie Morago. Burial will be in the Ajo Cemetery next to her husband. Arrangements are being made by Douglass Funeral Home.
