Note: Peter Lynn Bohart, a native of Indiana, was the son of Richard Clegg and Eliza Bohart. Richard, a native of Ohio was born Sept 7, 1828 and died at Graham, Mo. about 1880. Eliza his wife, died soon after. Peter came with his parents to Holt Co., Mo. in 1863 and was engaged in the mercantile business with his father, and his sons, most of his life.

"P.L. Bohart, 81-years of age, a resident of Maitland many years, died at 12:14 o'clock this morning at his home in Maitland following a year's illness.
Born in Indiana, Mr. Bohart came to Missouri when he was five years old. His family settled in Graham. Mr. Bohart was engaged in the mercantile business with his father in Graham, and later when the town of Maitland was established he moved there and went into business for himself.
Mr. Bohart was married to Miss Nellie Russell, who died several years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry Fellison, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Claire Wehrli of Maitland; two grandchildren; one brother, W.B. Bohart of St. Joseph, and one sister, Mrs. Ed Ralston of Peoria, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Maitland. Burial will be in the Maitland cemetery."
