Sally Hayes Ford
MOULTRIE — Sally Hayes Ford, 77, of Moultrie, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at St. Paul Church of God In Christ in Coolidge, Ga. Supt. Paul E. Hayes Jr. officiant. Elder J.W. Lewis, Overseer William Revills, and Elder Mac Davis Sr. assistants. Burial followed at Strong Memorial Gardens. Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
She was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Colquitt, Ga. to the late Tony Hayes and the late Hannah Thomas Hayes.
She worked for Southwest Georgia Community Action Council as a social worker for more than 20 years. She attended St. Paul Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Supt. Paul E. Hayes Sr., and she also served on the Mother Board and as a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Ford Sr.; her parents; seven brothers; and seven sisters.
She is survived by one son, Milton Ford Jr. and wife Ramanda of Moultrie; four daughters, Lorene Twiggs of Moultrie, Geraldine Morgan and the Rev. A.J. Morgan of Miami, Fla., and Betty James and Sarah Wright, both of Moultrie; one sister, Irene Lewis and her husband Supt. J.W. Lewis of Moultrie; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one goddaughter, Ann Hall of Moultrie; one godson, David Harris of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
