Nancy J. Mayton
MARION HEIGHTS — Nancy J. Mayton, 62, of 409 Warsaw St. (Box 296), passed away at 3:11 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Danville, Sept. 5, 1951, a daughter of the late Lillian (Dilliplane) and Peter M. Mayton.
Nancy graduated from Mount Carmel High School and was employed by the Mount Carmel Area School District.
She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, and a member of the Marion Heights Fire Company. She was an avid animal lover, liked taking trips to the shore with her fiance, Victor, and enjoyed crafts.
Nancy is survived by a sister, Patricia A. Mayton, with whom she resided; her fiance, Victor C. Yarsky, of Marion Heights; Victor's son and daughter-in-law, whom she treated and loved as her own, Victor F. and Wendy Yarsky, of Northumberland; a special cousin, Ann Rogers and her husband, Morris, of Shamokin; a special close friend, Rita Wydra, of Kulpmont, and her beloved dogs, Shammy, Bear and Timmy, and cats, Crystal and Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a special aunt, Hilda Dilliplane, and a dear friend, Rose Mary Siko.
A graveside religious service in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to James Kelley Funeral Home, James F. Kelley, director, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
