Warren was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as an infantryman in the 329th Buckshot Infantry in Belgium, France and Germany. He served in the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Hurtgen Forest.
Warren worked as a U.S. Postal carrier and later a window clerk at the Salem Post Office retiring after more than 40 years of service.
Warren loved life and the New York Yankees. He was always good for a story or a practical joke. In his younger days he was an avid Shuffleboard player and enjoyed league bowling. He was a true animal lover and fed any stray cat that came to visit. His kind and easygoing nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 with the Reverend Paul Henrickson officiating. The interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park.
