This is my 4th great-grandfather.John was of Irish parentage, was a farmer and a Revolutionary Soldier.John's exact birth and death dates and place of burial are not proven. He and female (60-70) were listed on the 1830 Rutherford Co. Census living next door to his sons Calvin, Lavender & William & near the Jacksons (Calvin's in-laws). ALSO, John (70-80)& female (60-70) was listed on 1840 Rutherford Co., N.C.Census , ten houses from Margaret Jackson (Calvin's mother-in-law), so he died sometime after this 1840 census was taken.
