Peacefully at New Orchard Lodge, Ottawa on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late Hugh McCredie (2009). Dearly loved mother of Judy (living), Bonnie (living) and Patricia (living). Predeceased by sister Doris Duncan (2010), and her parents James Potter and Fanny Woods. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Irene served overseas during WWII as a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross and upon retirement from the Federal Public Service stayed active with the Canadian Red Cross Overseas Club in Ottawa.
