  Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Kathryn Hartung will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Lesley Marks funeral home. The Rev. R.F. Tormohlen, pastor of Eden United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
  Mrs. Hartung, 88, died Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hartung, 1656 Veronica Ave., St. Louis, Mo., with whom she resided. She had resided in St. Louis since 1941 and had previously lived in Edwardsville.
  Born Jan. 12, 1874 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Waekele Bour. On May 30, 1894 in Troy, she was married to George C. Hartung of Edwardsville. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1924.
  Surviving in addition to her son, George, are another son, Louis E. Hartung, St. Louis; one daughter, Mrs. E.K. (Dorothy) Elfgen, Alton; two granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
  Mrs. Hartung was affiliated with Eden United Church of Christ.
  Friends may call at the Marks funeral home this afternoon.

Pallbearers were Ronald Mottaz and Paul Louschke, both of Alton, Walter Hartung, Roger Hartung, Joseph Ambrozat and Harris Blixen, all of Edwardsville.
