Kyle Austin, 78, of the Chestnut Ridge Community, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at his home. He was born March 12, 1935 in Limestone, Tenn. His occupation was a truck driver and farmer.
He was preceded by his, father, Oscar Franklin Austin; mother, Bertha Dimple (Morrison) Austin; three sisters, Faye Elizabeth Austin, Jewel Ann Austin and Emma Jean Molthen; and brother, Max Donald Austin.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Rose (Beaty) Austin of Deer Lodge; four sons, Lewis Austin and wife Nancy, Kevin Austin and wife Linda, Jr. Austin; and Anthony Austin and wife April; two daughters, Trudy Austin and Kyleen Austin and fiancé Bill Emonds; 12 grand children; eight great-grand children; three brothers, Ora Austin and wife Bonnie of Chestnut Ridge, Wade Austin and wife Margaret of Norco, CA and David Austin of Oxford, PA; three sisters, Mildred Young and husband Gilbert of Chestnut Ridge, Kay Eckhart and husband Frank of Fayetteville, N.C. and Barbara Young and husband John of North East, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family received friends on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Central Time) at Jennings Funeral Homes-Clarkrange Chapel. Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. (Central Time) at Friends Chapel Baptist Church in Deer Lodge with Bro. J.C. Ford officiating. Burial followed in Friends Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Travis Austin, Tyler Austin, Shane Austin, Joshua Austin, Ghaith Al-Sowaidi and Johnny Young.
