Barbara Jane Bowen McDonald Cox, 67, of Pearl, MS passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at UMMC. Jane was born on September 12, 1946 to the late Mildred Lois and John Andy Bowen of Shaw, MS. She was raised in Shaw and graduated from Shaw High School in 1965. She is survived by her children Mark McDonald (Jill) of Canton, Matt McDonald (Cortney) of Brandon, and Marsha McDonald Johnson of Pearl. She is survived by 9 grandchildren that she deeply loved: Tori McDonald and Lauren McDonald of Canton, Avery McDonald, Zach McDonald, Millie McDonald and Reese McDonald of Brandon, Holly Johnson Patrick of Brandon, Tyler Johnson, and Annalise Johnson of Pearl. She had also been looking forward to her first great grandchild, Preslie Jane Patrick due in July. She is survived by her siblings Alice Rice of Ridgeland, Marlene Golby of Lake Village, AR, Linda McClure of Ridgeland, Jo Willett of Flora, Lana Cox of Brandon, James Andy Bowen of Shaw, Frank Bowen of Pensacola, FL and Jimmy Bowen of Bentonia. She had many nieces and nephews that also loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Cox.
Visitation is 9am Monday, March 10, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home, funeral service are 11m Monday in Lakewood Chapel with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
