Susan Jane Ragland was born in Washington County, Ill., May 5, 1858.
She moved from there to Minnesota and then again to Nebraska in 1880.
She married C.E.Boyd, March 13, 1881. In 1883, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd moved to Fullerton, Nebr., while there she joined the M.E. Church and has been a member of the same for twenty-five years.
She passed away Feb. 6, 1911, age 51 years, 9 months and one day.
The funeral was held at the Olcott Church, Thursday, Feb. 9, conducted by Rev. Earl E. Bowen.
Mrs. Boyd has lived in Logan township for a number of years and leaves many friends, who will deeply mourn her departure.
