UNION — Mr. Clyde "Huck" McKinney Jr., 86, husband of Anna King McKinney, 513 Traversie Court, Spartanburg, SC 29303 passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at his home.
Mr. McKinney was born in Union, SC on Dec. 25, 1927, a son of the late Clyde Edward Sr. and Glydes Farmer McKinney. He was retired from Milliken and Company and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. McKinney was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon having served a chairman of Deacons. He had also been a Mason at Mt. Joy Lodge No. 322, a Shriner, and an American Legion Member of Jonesville Post No. 129.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Billy McKinney and wife Hazel of Union and Ricky McKinney and wife Jeannine of Jonesville; five grandchildren, Chrissy Wilkins and husband Craig of Jonesville, Emmy Lou McKinney of Jonesville, Brandy Gainor and husband Gray of India, Matthew Murphy of Pacolet, and Samantha Chasten of Pacolet; five great-grandchildren, Sarala, Jackson, Sam, Parks, and Wint Gainor, all of India.
Mr. McKinney is predeceased by two brothers, A.C. McKinney and Wallace McKinney.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Bill Cashion and Rev. Ralph Brown.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Horne, Mike Scales, John Adams, Matthew Murphy, Craig Wilkens, and Brad Horne.
Visitation will be held 1-2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel.
