Eileen will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile and wonderful personality. She was born March 3, 1924 in County Mayo, Ireland, the daughter of John and Julia (Walsh) Carey. Eileen grew up in Brooklyn, New York and graduated of St. Theresa High School in Brooklyn then upon marrying her beloved husband James moved to the Youngstown area in 1949.
Eileen was a proud homemaker and the matriarch of the family raising six children. They all loved her cooking and baking and will miss her famous McGinty cookies.
She was a charter member of St. Christine Church, its Altar and Rosary Society and volunteered in the school's Library as the Librarian.
Eileen enjoyed traveling to see her relatives and was an avid reader, but she treasured all the time she got to spend with her entire family.
Her husband James A. Boyle whom she married February 22, 1949 died March 5, 1998.
She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories five children James A Jr. (Angela) Boyle of Canfield, Thomas (Colleen) Boyle of Youngstown, John (Lynn) Boyle of Lewis Center, Ohio, Mary (John) Demidovich of Youngstown, and Martin (Mary Beth) Boyle of Hilliard, thirteen grandchildren Jamie (Genevieve) Boyle, Jenelle (fiancé Steve Ten Eyck) Joshua (Courtney) Boyle, Brendan Boyle, Erin (Jason) Bishop, Kevin, Jessica, Rachel and Bridget Boyle, John (Alexis) Demidovich, Aimee Demidovich and Michael and Andrew Boyle, five great grandchildren Alaina, Janessa, Jack, Ethan and Huxley, two brothers Joseph (Ann) Carey and John Carey and three sisters Patricia (Frank) Militano, Sister Rita Marie Carey CSJB and Julie (James McGrath.
Besides her parents and husband Eileen was preceded in death by a daughter Ann Julia Boyle, two brothers Joseph and Martin Carey and three sisters Margaret Merz, Mary Furey and Rita Donnellan.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
