GALESBURG-Shannon Kilpatrick, 59, Galesburg, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born May 31, 1954, in Galesburg, to Merle and Dorothy Ratliff Kilpatrick.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Candis Pierce. He is survived by his son, Josh Kilpatrick, Galesburg; daughter, Jaymie Kilpatrick of Galesburg; sister, Crystal (Lennie) Galloway, Galesburg; brother, Mick (Sharon) Kilpatrick, Abingdon; five grandchildren; one granddaughter on the way; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Shannon worked at Gates Rubber Corp. in Galesburg.
He loved fishing.
Cremation has been accorded and per his wishes, no services were held.
Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria in his name.
The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
