Alfred Raymond Ackles is the son of Stephen D. Ackles and Lila Isabelle Rhoades. Born in Galt(a subdivision of Liberty Twp),Grundy Co. MO and came west with his parents and siblings in about 1901. Alfred actually married twice, first to Hannah McKalvey and then to Dorothy Collins. Hannah married him in 1917 in Butte, Silver Bow Co. MT, they divorced before 1920 and then Alfred married Dorothy Collins in 1921 in Spokane, Spokane Co. WA. Alfred and Hannah had a child by the name of Alfred Raymond Ackles Jr. However, like his father he also went by the name of Ray. Dorothy and Alfred never had children between them. Both Alfred and Dorothy are buried at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery, here in Spokane, WA.
