She was born on March 29, 1929 in Muncie, the daughter of Nina (Wilkinson) Jones.
She graduated from Muncie Central High School. Mrs. Watson was a teacher's aide with the Muncie Community Schools.
She was a member of the FOP Women's Auxiliary for several years.
Surviving are three sons, Jeff Watson (Kami), Muncie, John Watson (wife, Mischelle), Noblesville, and Mark Watson, Parker City; a daughter-in-law, Deana Watson, Muncie; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Robert Watson; a son, Joe Watson; a daughter, Janelle Watson; a granddaughter, Shauna; and her brother, Robert Yates.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
