Peggy Joyce Sutton
April 25, 1929 — Feb. 18, 2014

Peggy Joyce Sutton, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Oxnard, Calif., on Feb. 18, 2014. She was born April 25, 1929, in Oklahoma. She spent most of her younger years in Missouri, which is where she met and married her late husband, William E. Sutton, on June 8, 1944. They lived their retired years in Pollock Pines, Calif., from 1995 to 2004, when her husband passed away.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Bill Sutton and Gary (Sheri) Sutton; and grandchildren, Rob Sutton and Amanda Sutton. She also leaves behind her companion of six years, Eddie Cole; and their dog, Sadie.

Peggy lived a long, happy life and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing the piano, painting china and other crafts. She loved to spend time decorating her home for the holidays, where she would gather family and friends to mark the celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her other joy was cruising, where she enjoyed many trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Peggy will be dearly missed by her family, very close neighbors and friends, and all of those whose lives she touched.

The family wishes to thank Buena Vista Hospice Care; her favorite nurse, Tina Rowe; Community Memorial Hospital; and all the doctors and staff for all of Peggy's care.
