There has been a Sturgill family tradition (See Sturgill book by David Sturgill) that Francis and Rebecca Hash Sturgill's daughter Ann married a Perkins, a Timothy Perkins ca 1810/12.
She died after giving birth to Lucy.
Lucy, the baby, was taken in by her uncle Francis Jr.
Mistakenly Ann has been said to be married to Pioneer Timothy Perkins but that is impossible as he was very old at that date and he was dead ca 1784.
This Timothy Perkins, son of Jabez most fits the husband title for Ann.
Interesting that Ann named her daughter Lucy, the name of Timothy's (son of Jabez) sister.
Interesting that THIS Timothy married a Mary Ann Spurgeon. Spurgeon is an old spelling of Sturgill.
Did Timothy marry 2 people named Sturgill who had Ann in their name.
