MRS. NETTIE CROFUT
ARLINGTON - Mrs. Sarah Vanetta (Nettie) Crofut, widow of Charles H. Crofut, for 68 years a resident of West Arlington, died Monday night at a nursing home here. She was 92 years old last Jan 7, a native of Newark, N.J. She had been fondly known as "Nettie" all her life. Her maiden name was Stiles.
Mr. Crofut died in 1953. She was a communicant of St. James Episcopal Church and a charter member of Battenkill Grange, West Arlington. Until recent years, she had been most active.
Survivors are four sons and one daughter; Sidney L. Crofut, West Arlington; Robert S. Crofut, Salem, N.Y.; David G. Crofut, Harriman, N.Y.; Mrs. Gordon (Dorothy) Hard, Arlington; C. Mervin Crofut, Arlington; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Stevens Home for Funerals Wednesday night. The funeral will be held from St. James Episcopal Church on Thursday at 2 pm. Interment will be in West Arlington Cemetery.
