In a book called 30,638 burials in Georgia by Jeannette Holland Austin copy right 1995.Her book has the following information :
pg. 45 Lawerence Barrett Dec.1955 - July 7,1956 buried Mt.Creek Bapt. in Jackson co.
pg. 45 William Barrett 1949 - Sept. 1955 Mt.Creek Bapt. in Jackson co.
* Dates for the Lawerence Barrett seem to line up with Jimmie Lee Barrett Nov 13, 1955 - July 7, 1956, same burial location. & William lines up with William R. Barrett Sept 23, 1953 - Sept 23, 1953. I certainly need to get their death certs to confirm their dates and names from what their mother told me in 1998. *

On March 25,2005 I borrowed these photos and scanned them.So,i now have a copy of these photos. The original photo is maybe a 11 by 14 in a oval frame. Betty had kept these photos of her brothers above her bed.
On April 9,2005 i went to Mt.Creek Baptist Church to find his grave , but no grave was found.
On May 2,2005 Amanda and myself went back to the cemetery.We found Jimmie Lee and William Barrett's gravesites.We haven't found Charles Barrett's funeral home marker yet.The graves are badly covered in leaves,trees,etc. so we plan to go back soon and clean that area off.Maybe then we'll find Charles Barrett's funeral home marker.The graves are located in back of the cemetery in the woods behind their grandparents Floyd & Josie Rider Gaddis.
Death date July 7th, 1956 came from the Georgia Death Index. The death date is correct and the birth year is correct. The birth month and day was given by Doris but may still be incorrect.

The funeral home was Hubert Vickers Funeral Home. The funeral home is now called Strickland's Funeral Home, and is located in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia. A photo of the funeral home can be located in the Vanishing Georgia website. The photo was taken in 1969. It is located on West Broad Street, Gainesville, Georgia. The funeral home was once the home of Harvey Hall, who is said to have gone to Brazil after the civil war. Then a Mr.Findley owned it. It was purchased by Hubert Vickers in 1933. It is now currently Strickland Funeral Home.
