Elaine Bindl, age 70, passed away at her home in Carter, WY. On March 11, 2014. She was born on March 4, 1944 in Evanston, Wyoming, the daughter of Dale Lawson and Vera Jane (Briggs) Rickert.

Elaine married the love of her life, Louis John Bindl on May 14, 1963 in Evanston, WY. They both lived in Bridger Valley at the time, Elaine in Mountain View, and Louis in Carter. They had no children.

She worked on several ranches around Evanston and in the valley. She was a Deputy Town Clerk of Mountain View for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.

Elaine loved the outdoors, whether it was rock hunting, fishing, camping, or just riding down a old two track trail. She especially loved animals, all kinds, cats in particular. She was known as the "Cat Lady in Carter". She and Louis had horses, a mule, a coyote, goats, geese, dogs, and whatever came along. She loved to read and enjoyed listening to western music.

She is survived by her husband, Louis of Carter, WY.; one sister, Sally (Del) Lamb, of Mountain View, Wy.; on brother, Phillip (Pam) Snow, of Urie, WY.; a sister in law, Carolyn Rickert, of Diamondville, WY.; two other sister in laws, Bonnie Dahlquist, and Nancy and one brother in law, Eddie Bindl; and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Eugene Snow, and one brother, Gary Rickert.
