Maggie "Pearl" Hayes age 107 of Morristown passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Heritage Center. She was the last charter member of Roe Junction Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Hayes; her sons, Robert (Ruby) Hayes and James H. Hayes.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Eddie (Linda) Hayes, Rev. Dwayne (Sandy) Hayes, Danny Hayes, Loretta Johnson and David Hayes; great grandchildren, Eddie L. Hayes, Amanda (Randy) Jones, Leslea Hayes, John (Christie) Hayes, James (Jessica) Hayes, Megan (Adam) Webb, Dylan Hayes and Tiffany (Daniel) Robertson; great great grandchildren, Lindsay Prichard, Seth Prichard, Emilie Hayes, Jase Hayes, Stephon Steele, Kaylee Hayes, Hunter Webb, Fisher Webb, Shelbie Webb and Maggie Webb.
A special thank you to Dr. Cooze, Heritage Center, and Smokey Mountain Hospice. Pearl loved the Lord, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were her heart. She loved every one, special people in her life was her "gals", Jerri Cozart and Judy Fullington along with her dear friends, Louie and Nellie Spradling.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Mayes Family Services, Downtown Chapel with Rev. Louie Spradling and Rev. Greg Ellison officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday in Roe Junction Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
