Opal Hamilton Fisher, 91, Tharptown, Alabama, borned March 24, 1922, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. If she had lived until March 24th she would have been 92 years of age.
She lived all of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Tharptown Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Eddie Wix and Josh Miller officiating. Burial will be in Tharptown Cemetery.
Survivors include sons, Charles Thomas Fisher (Linda), Carl Dean Fisher (Jean), all of Russellville; brother, Dossie Hamilton (Ruby), California; grandchildren, Tish Fisher Hollimon (Terry), Suzanne Fisher Borden ( Chris), Jennifer Fisher McCalpin (Tracy), Ben Fisher (Tina), Justin Fisher (Ashley), 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annette Hamilton; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ken Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Chris Borden, DeWayne Warhurst, and Rodney Seay.
Honorary bearers will be Earl Coan, Tommy Warhurst, Jerry Aycock and Morris Woodruff.
She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Roy Fisher.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
