CAMBRIDGE - Katherine Jermaine Robertson Ludwick, 85, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, July 13, 2009, at Saratoga Hospital with her family by her side.

Born November 24, 1923, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Beach) Robertson.

She graduated in 1941 from the Cambridge Union School and lived most of her life in Cambridge.

Mrs. Ludwick worked for Asgrow Seed Co. and then at Community Enterprises, both in Cambridge, and later worked at the Mary McClellan Hospital as a central supply technician, retiring in 1999 at the age of 75 after 32 years of service.

She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Cambridge, a member of St. Martha's Guild and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Ludwick enjoyed gardening and taking trips and also enjoyed traveling.

Mrs. Ludwick is survived by her children, Frank R. Ludwick of Cambridge, Christine Lutringer and her husband Robert of East Nassau and Susan Robertson and her husband Alan of Cambridge. She is also survived by her brother James Robertson of Baldwin, FL, and a sister Margaret Husni of Emerald Isle, NC; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and great neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was also pre-deceased by her husband John Ludwick who passed away August 1964 and her sister Elizabeth Ridler.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4 St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, with Rev. John Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge. Calling hours will be held privately at the family's request.
