Craig was born to Robert Franklin Harvey & Eleanor Adeline Dreger. His siblings are Tod, Lisa, Brian, and Brent Harvey. Craig was born in California and moved to St. Helens, Oregon when his father began working on the longshore in Portland, Oregon. Then the family moved to North Bend, Oregon where Craig grew up. He grew up in the great outdoors of the Oregon Dunes, hunting and fishing with his brothers. Craig wrestled for North Bend High school and graduated in 1982. Craig studied child psychology in college in Ashland, Oregon and he also was involved with Up With People where he traveled to Europe, singing and dancing. When in Europe he got to shake hands with Pope John Paul. Craig was a wonderful son, brother, and uncle. He was devoted to his nieces and nephews and spent all the time he could with them. He loved kids and was involved with coaching soccer teams and playing soccer. On September 16, 2000 Craig married Lorrie Gabrielle Vogel. It was a beautiful wedding at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. On September 13, 2001 Lorrie and Craig were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Piper. During the time of his wife's pregnancy Craig was fighting cancer, and he was in the hospital receiving care where his daughter was born at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. Craig remained positive and loving through his battle, and was so excited to see his baby born. On October 11, 2001 Craig passed away into God's loving arms. His father Bob was with him. Hundreds of people came to Craig's funeral as he was loved by so many. He had such a fun loving personality, full of character and charm. Craig is survived by his wife Lorrie and daughter Piper Harvey of Portland. He is also survived by both is parents Bob & Ellie Harvey of North Bend (although his father has passed since Craig's death), his grandmother Metha Martin of California, and his siblings with their families: Tod Harvey of St. Helens, Lisa Harvey Barrington (Ron & Teresa Barrington)of Coos Bay, Brian Harvey (Amy, Kate, Luke Craig) of Portland, and Brent Harvey (Lori, John, Jennifer).
