Meda A. Crawford, 100, born in Chicago, Idaho

Meda A. Crawford, 100, died Saturday of pneumonia at Lewiston's Valley Rehabilitation and Living Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1896, to Samuel E. and Nancy Bolick Wamsley in Chicago, Idaho, later known as Ilo. She attended schools in Volmer. The towns of Ilo and Volmer merged to become Craigmont.

She lived in the Craigmont area until her marriage Oct. 24, 1916, to Arthur B. Crawford in Nezperce.

They moved between Craigmont, Kamiah and Peck while he worked for the railroad. They were in Winchester from 1946 to 1951 and in Kamiah until 1973, when he died.
She moved to Santa Rosa, Calif., to be with her daughter and then moved back to Lewiston in 1977.

She joined the Rebekah Lodge in 1915. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Francis Crawford of Clarkston; two daughters, Eleanor Raspone of Clarkston and Geraldine Johnson of Canby, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Ellis and Gwynn Walmsley, and a sister, Iva M. Wamsley, died previously.

Burial at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
