She was born in Statesboro, Ga., and was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Forbes and Pidy Lee Forbes. She was a graduate of Jacksonville College, with an associate Degree, and she was employed by the U.S. Government at the Pentagon from 1941 - 1973, where she was a GS 11, and was Director of the Reservation , Housing , Defense and Transportation Department. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Fla, a member of the Pilot Club, and the Federal Retired Employees Union.
