Christmas Day 1944 brought a special gift to Mr. & Mrs. J. B. Cobb and to all who would come to know him, Tommy Cobb. Tommy was the first of 9 children, and lived his entire life in Bay Co., FL. He first worked as a meat cutter at Hunt's Supermarket and enlisted to serve his country in the Army National Guard. Tommy found "his niche" in the beverage business working for RC Cola, Coca Cola and Buffalo Rock Pepsi with a total of over 45 years in the industry. He earned the respect of his co-workers, peers and customers by always leading by example and treating everyone with the utmost regard and professionalism. He was a man of integrity and everyone knew if "T Cobb" said he would do it, it would be done, always putting others ahead of himself. Tommy was an outdoorsman, loving every minute of working on the lease or getting the fish camp ready for the season. He enjoyed spending time with his family having fish fries or being at the ballpark. He was at home on the bay with either of his shrimp boats, The Capt. Kyle or Emily J.

Tommy shared all these years loving his wife, Jo; being a doting Daddy to Sherry (Mike Nobles) and being a hero and best friend to son, Tommy Joe (T. J.). Along with them, he leaves to cherish these memories his mother, Dora Lee Stewart Cobb; brothers and sisters, Larry Cobb, Norma Jean Bozeman, Tina Anderson (Dallas), Joann Ammons (Roy), Buddy Cobb, Edna Riley (Charles); 4 grandsons, Trake and Dalton Cobb and Steven and Daniel Nobles; and many more special members and innumerable friends. Tommy was predeceased in death by his father, J. B. Cobb; and brothers, Pete and Jerry.

Tommy entered Heaven's glory on Aug 6, 2013 and a celebration of this great man will be Sat, Aug 10, 2013, with the family receiving friends from noon to 2 pm and the service beginning at 2 pm. The service will be held at Springfield Community Church with Pastor Donnie Jackson and Pastor Gene Keen presiding. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home directing.
