Theodore Charles Lewis, age 74, of Lebanon, passed away at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at his home. A native of Washington County, he was born on May 13, 1939, to the late Dee and Ruby Smith Lewis. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Mabel Smith Lewis; two sons, Tex and Rex Lewis; two daughters, Marilyn and Angela Lewis; a granddaughter, Maria Nicole Lewis; a sister, Hadgie Sparrow and two brothers, Charles D. and Lonnie Lewis.

Survivors include, four sons, Eugene Lewis of Lebanon, William Lewis (Beverly) of Bardstown, Theodore James Lewis of Bardstown and Marshall Gilpin of Lebanon; four daughters, Don Lewis (Scott Roller) of Lebanon, Sheila Coulter of Bardstown, Anna Marie Crouch of Bloomfield and Ruth Ann Pate of Clarksville, Ind.; 15grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Offus Lewis (Rose) of Mackville and three sisters, Mary Sparrow of Springfield, Ophie Nalley (John) of Bardstown and Ada Pearl Tate (John) of Lebanon.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 6 at the Brush Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Hawkins officiating. Burial was in the Brush Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Dallas Lewis, Donald Sallee, Ronnie Lewis, Troy Lewis, Mark Smothers, Larry Chance and Jonathan Roller. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
