Dale S. Ellis "Uncle Dale", age 95, of Townsend passed away in Kent General Hospital on March 9, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Roberta.
He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. After retirement he worked as a cook at St. Andrew's School in Middletown for 20 years.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Coy Ellis and his wife Shirley. His nieces Barbara Connors and her husband John, Judy Bryan and her husband Bob, and his nephew John Sosnowski, his great niece Cherie McNatt and her husband Paul, and his 2 great-great nieces Brianna and Brittany McNatt.
Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11 am at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709, visitation will be from 10 - 11 am at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dale's memory can be made to Season's Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
