Marvin Lawson, a native of Port St. Joe, Florida and a resident of Coden, AL, he exchanged this life for eternity on March 5, 2014 at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents Nealie Lawson and Clarence Lawson, Sr., three brothers, Henry Tolbert, Hardy Tolbert and Jason Lawson, and one sister, Theolis Sutton. Marvin was an active Honorary Member of the Mobile County Retired Teachers Association. He is survived by four children; six grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; one devoted Nephew. Two god-daughters Alexia ; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state on Tuesday, March 11, 20114 from 4pm until 6pm at Small's Mortuary, Theodore, AL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Freewater Missionary Baptist Church 11470 Irvington BLB Hwy. Irvington, AL.
