DOUGLAS M. OWENS, 45, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, at his residence. Born in Fort Wayne, Douglas was a Chef with Ceruti's Catering. He was a 1986 graduate of South Side High School and a 1990 graduate of Ball State University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Surviving are his mother, Joan Owens of Fort Wayne; brothers, Scott (Lisa) Owens, Richard Owens and Patrick Owens, all of Fort Wayne, and Marc Owens of Washington, DC; nephew, Jordan Owens; and nieces, Lauren and Brooke Owens. He was preceded in death by father, Gerald Warren Owens. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the funeral home.
