Mrs. Orewiler was a second grade teacher for Pendleton Elementary School for 24 years before her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pendleton, Saturday Club, Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, Joy Choir, Retired Teacher Association, Women's Circle at her church, Pendleton Historical Museum and NAMI. Mrs. Orewiler was a graduate of Short Ridge High School in Indianapolis. She received her Bachelor's degree from Butler University and her Master's degree from Ball State University.
Mrs. Orewiler is survived by her sons, Mark D. Orewiler of Yorktown and Michael J. Orewiler of Muncie; Susan K. Benjamin of Indianapolis; sister, Helen Tipton of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Benjamin Orewiler, Erin Bole, Rebekah and Alison Orewiler, Kendra and Beth Benjamin; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Orewiler.
Mrs. Orewiler was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, on September 10, 2003. They were married for 55 years.
